Guests order on your page
When delivery is on and your page is published, guests order delivery or pickup on your restaurant's page, follow it live, and pay at the door or when they pick it up.
Back office Settings Delivery (switch delivery on) and Settings Your brand Your menu page (Published)
- Your page opens on your cover with your name and, if you write one, your tagline (Settings › Your brand › Tagline). Under it: Delivery · 25–35 min with where it goes, and Pickup beside it. When you take bookings online, Book a table sits at the top of the cover, next to Sign in. Then Tonight's favourites, the dishes your branch sold most in the last two weeks, and the menu with Veg only and your sections.
- For delivery, guests tap Use my current location or search for their area, street, building or a place nearby. Then they move the map until the pin is on their door: the fee, the free-delivery amount and the time follow the pin, worked out by road the same way the till does. Last, they add the house, flat or shop number, the building if it has one, and a Landmark if you ask for one. Signed-in guests can save it as Home, Work or Other; next time it's one tap.
- The order bar at the bottom fills up toward free delivery ("1.00 to free delivery"). Your order is a receipt: the dishes, your offers, the delivery fee, tax and the total, as your till will print it, with a FREE DELIVERY stamp once they reach it.
- Offers under the receipt: each offer on the order with Remove; one they took off with Add back; one that can't be used with another with Use this instead; and Have a promo code? for your codes. Every change is priced again before it stays, and a code is checked by Tillmora (ten tries in ten minutes).
- Checkout: when it arrives, in big numbers, with Later for a time later today or tomorrow; the address with Edit; the guest's name and mobile with Edit; how they'll pay at the door (cash, card or QR; for cash, the note they'll pay with so the driver brings change); a tip if you allow tips. The order is folded at the bottom with allergies and Cutlery, please inside. A pickup is paid at your counter, so there's nothing to choose.
- Place order: the order rings on your tills. A delivery waits on Deliveries › Waiting; an online pickup waits with your table orders. Accept it (or let them be accepted by themselves, Settings › Delivery › General) and it goes to the kitchen.
- The guest's tracking page shows each step: accepted with the time, cooked, on the way, at the door, delivered with the photo. The driver's car shows on their map only when theirs is the next stop. They can cancel until you accept, and give a private thumbs up or down afterwards.
- Emails go at each step when the guest gave an email: received, accepted with the time, on its way, delivered, or declined, expired or cancelled with the reason.
Example
A Friday delivery
Asha orders two iced teas ($13) to 14 Wharf St, 2.4 km away: $5 delivery, "$17 to free delivery". She pays cash with a $20. The till rings; the cashier accepts with 35 minutes. Asha's page says Arriving about 7:40, then Raj is on the way · 3 min, then Delivered.
Example
No street number
Ravi orders from home in a market lane. He taps Use my current location, switches to Satellite to put the pin on his building rather than the lane behind it, and types "H.No 42, first floor" and the landmark "Opposite the water tank, blue gate". The docket and the driver's phone show the landmark under the address, and the driver navigates to the pin.
Example
Taking an offer off, using a code
Mia orders two iced teas (13.00). Tea time (1.00 off) is on her receipt. She has a code from your flyer, types order5 and taps Apply: Order five (5.00 off) goes on too. She taps Remove on Tea time because she'd rather keep it for tomorrow. Her total is 8.00 plus tax. On the till, the bill shows Order five · code ORDER5, and Tea time as taken off with "The guest took it off".
How do I turn on orders on our website?
At each branch: set up delivery and switch Delivery at your branch on (Settings › Delivery), then switch your menu page to Published (Settings › Your brand › Your menu page). Orders ring on your tills, so keep one signed in while you're open. Guests order at your web address, for example harbour-lane.tillmora.com.
Can we take pickup orders online without delivering?
Yes. Switch delivery on as above (it still needs your restaurant's pin, for the pickup address and times), then in Settings › Delivery › Types open Delivery and switch Shown to guests off. Guests see Pickup only.
Do guests need an account to order?
No. They give a name and mobile number at checkout. With a Tillmora guest account they can also save places, see their orders and keep allergies on file. Continue as guest on the sign-in page goes back to the menu.
Can I stop asking for a landmark?
Yes. Settings › Delivery › General › Addresses: Ask guests for a landmark. It starts on where addresses usually have no street numbers (in India, for example) and off elsewhere.
Which offers show on my page?
The ones on now for online orders: their days, times, kinds of order and channels (Promotions › the offer › Where). Offers made before online ordering that were on for the till, QR and kiosk are on online too. Offers only staff can give, and deals off today, don't show.
Can guests take an offer off, or choose between two?
Yes. Remove takes it off the order and Add back puts it back. When two offers can't be used together, the other shows Use this instead; the page only swaps if the new one really applies. Your bill shows what they took off, so staff don't add it back by mistake.
Where do "Tonight's favourites" come from?
What your branch sold most in the last two weeks, up to six dishes. They change by themselves; there's nothing to set.
How do I add the line under our name?
Settings › Your brand › Tagline: a few words, 60 at most, such as "Wood-fired since 1998". Leave it empty for none.
Why might the guest's page show a different total from my bill?
Until your till makes the bill, the tracking page shows the bill the guest saw at checkout: their offers, the delivery fee, the tax and the total. Once you bill it, the page shows your bill instead (with its number). If you changed something, such as a dish you were out of, the total there changes too.
A guest's order wasn't answered. What happened?
After the minutes in answer within (Settings › Delivery › General), it expires: the guest is told by email and on their page, and nothing is charged. It's kept as expired in your reports.
Why does my page say "Not taking orders right now"?
Delivery is paused, or no till that takes orders has been online in the last 5 minutes. Guests can still read the menu.
Do online orders use my delivery prices?
Yes. The page shows your prices for delivery or pickup orders (Menu › Prices), the same the till charges.
If it goes wrong
A guest says "Use my current location" isn't there
Phones only share where they are on a secure (https) page and when the guest allows it. They can search for their area or a place nearby instead, then move the pin.
If it goes wrong
A guest says their promo code didn't work
Check the code in Promotions: it's not paused or ended, it hasn't reached its limit, and a single-use code hasn't been used. Codes are checked whatever the capitals or spaces. After ten wrong tries in ten minutes the page asks them to wait.
If it goes wrong
A guest says the page shows "coming soon"
Your page isn't published yet. In Settings › Your brand, switch Your menu page to Published; ordering opens with it.
