The Deliveries board
Every delivery tonight in five columns, the drivers below, and the switches for a busy night at the top.
Till Deliveries
- Waiting: online orders to accept, with the time left to answer.
- Cooking: accepted orders, with when each must leave and a bar that turns amber when it's running behind.
- Ready: packed and waiting for a driver. Orders going the same way are boxed together with Send together.
- Out: with a driver or a partner, the next stop first, when each should arrive.
- Done: delivered tonight, how many were on time, the average time and the fees; anything not delivered stays at the top with call the guest.
- Tap a card for Ready to go, Send…, Delivered, Couldn't deliver…, Print the docket or Open the order.
Example
A Friday rush
Saffron & Co is swamped at 7 pm. The manager taps +20 next to Busy: new quotes on the page and on the phone add 20 minutes. At 8:15 the kitchen falls behind again, so they tap Pause… › For 30 minutes: guests see pickup only until 8:45, and orders already taken carry on.
Example
Two orders the same way
A-0416 (Gosnells 6110, 6.0 km) and A-0418 (Cannington 6107, 2.4 km) are ready together. Ready shows them boxed with Send together · With Mia. One tap gives both to Mia: Cannington first, then Gosnells.
What does "Up to 10 km" in the bar do?
It's how far new orders may come from tonight, on top of your areas. Short of drivers? Tap it and choose Up to 5 km; addresses past it are offered pickup. Choose As far as your areas go to go back.
Why does the Ready column say "Choose…" instead of a driver's name?
Every driver is out. Tap Choose… to pick a driver coming back soon or a partner, with what their rate card charges.
Example
Two the same way, sent one after the other
Ravi's two deliveries both go out on the Ganganagar road: Kikar Chak (D-0002) and Rottan Wali (D-0001). You send Kikar Chak with Raj, then a minute later Rottan Wali with Raj too. The till asks Raj is already out: Add to Raj's run comes first because he hasn't reached a door yet. Raj's phone chimes and shows both stops, nearest first. Had he already reached a door, New run, when they're back comes first instead, and his phone shows it under Next run until he's back.
I gave a driver two deliveries but their phone shows only one. Why?
They were sent separately, so they were two runs. Now the till asks when you send to a driver who's already out: add to their run (they take both in one go) or a new run for when they're back. Either way their phone shows every delivery they have: the run they're on, then Next run. Sending both together (Send together, or tick both) makes one run straight away.
If it goes wrong
There's no Deliveries tab on the till
Delivery is off for this branch, or not set up. In the back office, Settings › Delivery, tap Set up delivery and switch it on.
