Sign in with your PIN
Each person signs in on the till with their own PIN, so every order, discount and void is saved with who did it.
Till Who is using the till? (your name)
- Tap your name (people who used this till recently are at the top), or Find your name.
- Type your PIN.
- First time? You were given a temporary PIN: the till asks you to Choose your own PIN, then to enter it again.
- When you step away, the till locks itself after a short time. The next person taps their name.
Example
A shift change at the counter
Priya finishes at 3 pm and walks away; the till locks after 60 seconds. Tom taps Tom under HERE RECENTLY, types his PIN, and carries on. Everything Priya did stays under her name.
I don't have a PIN yet
Ask the owner or a manager: they set a temporary PIN in the back office, and it reaches the till on its next sync (the till needs the internet once). Owners and managers can set their own under Back office › Home › Set your till PIN.
Can two people share a PIN?
No. Each person has their own, so the day's records show who did what. Sharing PINs is the most common way cash goes missing without an answer.
If it goes wrong
"Too many wrong PINs"
The till waits a short time before you can try again. Forgot it? A manager can reset your PIN in the back office.
If it goes wrong
My name isn't on the till
You may not be added to this branch yet. Ask a manager to add you under Staff & roles for this branch; it arrives on the next sync.
