Free a table that ordered nothing
Guests sat down, then left before ordering, or someone opened the wrong table. If nothing was sent, freeing it takes one tap: no reason box and no manager's PIN.
Till (the table) Free T4
- Open the table. While nothing is in the order, it shows Guests didn't order?
- Pick why: Guests left, Opened by mistake or Moved table.
- Tap Free T4. The table is free at once, with Undo for 10 seconds.
Other ways:
- On the floor. A table open 10 minutes with nothing in it shows "25 min · nothing ordered" and a Free button. Long-press any table where nothing was sent for Free the table · nothing ordered.
- Dishes added but not sent. More for this order › Free the table… lists the dishes that will be dropped, then Drop and free T4.
- Closing the shift. Tables still open with nothing ordered are offered as Free all.
Example
A couple leaves before ordering
T4 is seated at 7:05 pm and the couple leaves at 7:20 without ordering. On the floor, T4 shows "15 min · nothing ordered" with Free. Tap it: T4 is free for the next party, and "T4 is free · guests left" shows with Undo for 10 seconds.
Is a freed table a cancelled order?
No. It's recorded as freed, with who, when and why, and the back office shows "Freed · nothing ordered". Freed tables aren't cancellations in reports.
Something was sent to the kitchen
Then the table can't be freed. Use Cancel order…: why, was the food made, and a manager's PIN if your role can't cancel.
If it goes wrong
"A guest's order is waiting. Accept or reject it first."
The table ordered from their phone. Open the order from the tray and accept or reject it.
If it goes wrong
Review shows "Freed with dishes sent"
Another till sent dishes to the table while this one freed it without the internet. Check with the kitchen, then mark it resolved.
