Bills and receipts
What the bill and receipt say, when bill numbers restart, and the service charge.
Back office Settings Bills and receipts
- Open Settings › Bills and receipts.
- Set the Title on the receipt, the Business number label, the receipt logo and footer (the footer can differ by branch).
- Choose when Bill numbers restart: the first day of your financial year.
- Set the Service charge % and whether staff can take it off (in some countries it's always optional for guests).
Example
A footer per branch
Circular Quay's footer: "Thanks for coming! Free Wi-Fi: HarbourLane". Surry Hills: "Open till 1 am Fri and Sat". Each branch prints its own.
Why do bill numbers have a prefix?
Each till has its own series so tills can number bills offline without clashing (for example A/00001 on one till, B/00001 on another).
Is the service charge optional?
That depends on your country and your setting. The till can take it off when allowed, and the bill shows Service charge removed.
If it goes wrong
The logo prints badly
Receipt logos print in black and white. Use a simple, high-contrast logo.
