What guests see and receive
Guests choose how many, a day and a time that really has a table, then give their name, mobile and email. They get a confirmation by email with a private link to change or cancel, and a reminder the day before.
Your page Book a table
- Guests: 1 up to your online limit; bigger groups send a request (or see your phone number).
- Day and where to sit (when more than one area is online).
- Time: only times with a table for the whole stay. "2 left" or "last one" shows when they're scarce.
- Your details: name, mobile, email, and what you should know (birthday, high chair, nut allergy).
- Book. The ticket shows the booking code, the time the table is held until, Calendar, Directions, Change and Cancel.
Example
The day before
Priya booked for 4 at 7:30. The day before, she gets "See you tomorrow, Priya" with I'm coming, Running late and Cancel. She taps I'm coming: your tills show her as Confirmed.
Can two people take the last table at once?
No. The second sees "Sorry, someone just took that time" and the nearest free times. Nothing is double-booked.
What if the internet drops while they book?
They see "Not sent: check the internet" and can tap again; the same booking is never made twice.
Do guests need an account?
No. The private link in their email is enough to change or cancel.
If it goes wrong
A guest didn't get the email
Check the address on their booking in Bookings, and their junk folder. They can still ring you: find them by name or booking code and change or cancel it for them.
